It’s been a crazy day around here!  My husband has to work a night shift tonight, so my brother came over to help me work on some major yard projects.  We have a new insurance company for our home and I want everything to be as spic and span as possible for when they come to take photos and inspect the house.  Here are a few things we accomplished today:

Raked all leaves in the front and side yard.  ALMOST all are burned and gone.

Swept the driveway off to nearly spotless which is a feat like no other.

Cleaned off the front porch.

Then my husband woke up from his sleep in time and came out to help.  Of course everthing went faster and additional projects were completed:

The roof was swept off.

The gutters were cleaned out.

The sump pump had a make over to include a new suspension idea and had wire mesh placed over the actual pump.

The line was dug up and replaced that takes the sump pump water to the street.

Front porch and back patio pressured washed.  HOLY SMOKES what a difference!

I didn’t last as long as they did, but I made it through about 3 hours of work with a few “OMG I have been sitting on my butt all winter and everything hurts” breaks.

My brother did so much work today it’s insane.  I need to find a good way to make it up to him.  Any ideas?
