January 2014- A Photo Recap

I updated my iPhone tonight, which reminded me to upload my photos to the computer for my photo archive…and because I have a stupid amount of audio books on my phone and very little room left for storage.  So, I thought it might be fun to do a photo recap of the month!

It is very much a Scottish tradition to dress up in the “full gear” as my husband calls it, to ring in the New Year.  He wore this and I wore a long-sleeved shirt with sweatpants.  Oh, I wanted to dress up and look all sexy for him, but the raging staph infection I had along with a 4 inch boil on my ribcage made a bra impossible, and the fever made a good attitude far from possible.

My husband also has a serious love of Indian food and has missed it since he moved here.  We were sitting in the Walgreens drive thru picking up prescriptions and the window was cracked just a tiny amount so our little dog could stick his head out to “Sniff Smellies” as I call it.  Suddenly, my husband whipped his head around, looked me right in the eye and said “I smell curry”.  Sure enough, we looked around and found a new restaurant in town.  He happily spent the rest of his Christmas cash on an order of goat curry.  Yeah, I said GOAT.  I tried a bite, and liked it, so eventually we’ll go on a buffet day to play around and figure out if there is some Indian food I also like.

If you’re in the Central Arkansas area and need a plumber…

Ok, shouldn’t an electrician be named Benjamin Franklin?  Just saying.

My dogs NEVER cuddle. Never.  Did the world tip off its axis or what?

Speaking of cuddling, when it’s cold outside I suddenly become a personal heater for the critters in my house.  And let’s pretend I have totally finished patching the hole in the wall from Big Dogs teething phase…Wait until I show you what she does to my bed linens!

I did not take this picture on my cell phone while driving and using a headset to talk at the same time.  I promise!  Anyway, I am a crappy painter, but a friend of mine keeps trying to turn me into an artist, so this will be used for sunset inspiration.

My brother is  working on different licenses for single fixed wing aircraft.  I got a text from my sister-in-law telling me they were about to fly over the house and to come outside so they could wave.  Only my sister-in-law would text from a plane.
