  1. oh my gosh, this is hilarious!  i love that you were talking to them…i totally would too!!  your misfortune with the coons isn’t what I’m laughing at….its your conversation with them.  you are simply hilarious on camera and on blog!:)  hope animal control is able to help you get the place cleaned out!In other news…Hooray!! I finally got the audio challenge completed!  Go ahead and link me:)

  2. @smiling_spunk – @Consenttotreatment – Is it bad that I want to go back up there and try to get a better video?

  3. @Southernlass – Not until they eat your face off. Give them some of that pie and see if they will leave if you give em a slice. I know I would….

  4. @Southernlass – Okay, go with plan one and hope they dont eat your face off. “No cameras, hoe” thats what they will say to you.

  5. lol, that was funny. I agree with consent, try to get another vid.

  6. I saw this and thought it was appropriate to your plight.stupid pic won’t post. grrrrr.

  7. I’d love to see another video–my five year old says, “Please, Jill?”;)Kat

  8. I suppose I missed out here by watching this with the sound off? I didn’t really see anything and humor isn’t as funny when you can’t hear it! lol

  9. @bethro78 – Yeah, I had a conversation with the raccoons…@sassykat1213 – I dunno if I am brave enough to go back up there!@awth44 – Ok, maybe….maybe.  Now I am a little scared though because they are cat sized…

  10. @bethro78 – and dont let the boys hear it…XD

  11. lmao!  sorry, but that was really really funny!  Looks like the raccoon just made itself right at home.  ha ha

  12. @Blue_ButterflyBaby – I am too chicken to go back up there…and now I can’t sleep!

  13. oh shit! those buggers looked comfy!

  14. Now that you know it’s a masked burglar aren’t you just a bit glad you didn’t pull that tail?  Can you imagine a pissed of coon running around with a sore tail trying to make it back to the attic after having been rudely pulled off the roof? Okay, get a friend to tape it and pull the tail….I would love to see that video.

  15. on earth did they get in there?

  16. Bwa-ha-ha, that was hilarious. Hope animal control can help you out.

  17. wow, I would have freaked out.  I find raccoons frightening.

  18. LOL! Oh man, what a mess though. Stupid racoons. They look so cute until they pee in your insulation… then it’s all over.

  19. @happydeviant – Waaaaay too comfy!@indigolady – The tail I saw that day was a squirrel tail for sure.  No stripes!  These little stinkers have NO fear though.@Blue__Summer – I found a place on my roof this morning where they pulled the facia board loose.  They are climbing up a bush and wriggling in through the loose spot.@bosefius – They will come out this afternoon…While my CEO is here.  I am so excited about the fact that I get to say to him “YEEEEEHAW, I’m frem Arkansaw anda I had to call that there Animal Control to get them coons outta my attic!” UGH…@wearywalden – There were actually kind of cute.  I don’t think they are full grown yet.@silkenbutterfly – PISS…they PISSED.  A little pee smells way different than piss.  Ugh, it stinks.

  20. @Southernlass – somehow the scene in Elf where he tries to hug the racoon comes to mind…. plus, if they do attack you, you have to kill them and send them in to get them tested and its a real big hassle.  maybe you could convince animal control to let you tape them removing the pest?

  21. @smiling_spunk – I had planned on getting at least photos, if not video of them getting the little stinkers out!

  22. OMG I can’t believe I missed this one!  How funny (but perhaps not as funny for you…)

  23. Wow, that’s almost as bad as when my dog had her puppies underneath my bed…

  24. @Viktorious1 – Ewwww!!!  But wait.  Puppies?  Puppies are good!

  25. @Southernlass – Yeah, it was puppies…six of them…still amazes me something so small of a dog managed to mate with a large Alaskan huskie

  26. In hindsight, maybe we all should have known it was raccoons and not squirrels because raccoons are nocturnal? And of course they weren’t moving during the day… they were up all night partying in your insulation. o.O
